STRANGER THAN FICTION

Sometimes negative situations can lead to positive outcomes, and as Simon tells it, we can meet people and make connections in the most trying of circumstances:

"In July 2017 I was involved in a four-car pileup on the Montague St exit ramp of the freeway. A truck had run into a stationary car which caused a domino effect.

Fortunately, I was the fourth car and was the only one not to have their car written off.

As it turns out the third car (which hit me) was a lady who lived in Albert Park with her husband and two children.

We all exchanged details and went our separate ways to deal with our insurance companies.

About 18 months later I received a call out of the blue from this lady to say that unbeknown to her at the time of the accident she had been pregnant with twins and her family of four had grown to a family of six and wanted to discuss selling their house as they had just purchased a family home in Port Melbourne.

I listed their house just prior to Christmas and sold it in March for a great price.

It never ceases to amaze me where and how you can meet people in this industry. At the time I was so angry and frustrated about being in the wrong place at the wrong time but as it’s turned out I was in exactly the right place at the right time. The listing aside I now have a great relationship with their family and a client for life".
